What We Do

3SO provides various services to its members on a cost-recovery basis and to other health care and other organizations that may benefit, in order to reduce the amount members pay, both individually and collectively, for the services.

Our member services include:

  • Procurement - for all stock, non-stock, service & capital items*
    • Sourcing
    • Contract management
    • Purchasing
    • Related application support and reporting
    • Ensuring that all contracts comply with Provincial Government's supply chain directives

                 * Pharmacy, food services, and major capital construction exluded at some members

  • Site Supply Chain
  • Warehousing & distribution - primarily through an outsourced third party provider
    • Carry stock
    • Receive and fulfill department and ward replenishment orders
  • Provide accounts payable platform (SAP)  for member hospitals
  • Provide support systems  for central systems that support 3SO activities
